The Contoocook Valley School Board recognizes that the public has vast resources of training and experience useful to schools. The strength of the local school district is in large measure determined by the degree to which these resources are tapped for advisory purposes and to the degree that theses resources are involved in supporting the improvement of the local educational program.
The School Board, in accordance with the requirements of the federal and state laws, and the regulations which implement those laws, hereby declares formally that it is the policy of the Board,

The Board recognizes that effective learning and teaching takes place in a safe, secure and welcoming environment and that safe schools contribute to improved attendance, increased student achievement and community support.
The Board directs the Superintendent to establish an accountability system in order to collect data needed for evaluation of the district’s compliance with state and federal laws on school accountability.
The School Board shall evaluate the Superintendent annually. The evaluation shall be guided by the definitions of purpose and foundational values stated below. Evaluation of the Superintendent shall be limited to the duties of the Superintendent as stated in School Board policy CB.
